Silicon Valley Eats: Dessert (3)

I returned to Satura Cakes, and tried that "chestnut cake" - which I found out was called the "Mont Blanc". It has a shortbread-like tart bottom, followed by a layer of nut-infused cake, then whipped cream, and finally, the cake is topped by a heaping, decadent swirl of chestnut paste. The chestnut paste reminded me very much of the chestnut filling in pastry buns that are common in Hong Kong bakeries, an intriguing blend of east meets west. Delicieux!
